2023 IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR!

As I reflected on the past year at Africa Hope Fund and began to mentally list our many accomplishments I gave huge thanks for the amazing support, not only for our board and staff but for our many donors and sponsors.

This year saw some changes, growth and celebrations.

We partnered with Project Luangwa in overseeing and running our reading centers and libraries serving over 1,400 children a day.

We helped raise over $160,000 for our 4 favorite conservation organizations. Conservation South Luangwa, Conservation Lower Zambezi, Chipembele Wildlife Education Center, and Zambia Carnivoire Program, helping to curtail poaching and rescue wildlife now and in the future.

We matched Funds for Makokekole Foundation in order to drill five community boreholes (wells) bringing lifesaving water to over 1000 residents.

We hosted another 2 volunteer groups to work in our libraries and experience the time of their lives.

We saw 4 of our sponsored students graduate from a university or internship and began a career in conservation or health.

We all went virtual and closed our physical office saving thousands of dollars in operating expenses that can now go directly into the work we do in Zambia.

I celebrated my 13th year as a Conservation South Luangwa Trustee and treasurer.

Leslie Leggio retires at the end of the year after 16 years as treasurer for Africa Hope Fund. THANK YOU LESLIE FOR YOUR MANY YEARS OF SERVICE!

AHF celebrates its 17th year serving conservation and education organizations in Zambia!

Have a terrific holiday and join us in Zambia when you can!
