Why the Wildlife Ranger Challenge is so important to the African wildlife
Last year we briefly touched on how some of our partner organizations were partaking in the Wildlife Ranger challenge, well this year its back!
On September 16th, more than 100 Wildlife Ranger teams from different African countries will come together for the fourth year in a row, to participate in a half marathon Wildlife Ranger Challenge. The goal being, to raise money and awareness to support all the men and women who risks their lives daily to be on the front line of Africa's most protected areas.
This year two organizations we partner with will be participating in the challenge, Conservation Lower Zambezi, and Conservation South Luangwa.
Oftentimes people think rangers are just men patrolling fences with a gun slung around their shoulder, but it is so much more than that. Not only do all female patrol units exist now, rangers are teachers, conservationists, inspirers, and more!
