Debby Lott has over 30 years of education experience as a teacher, a reading specialist, a literacy coach, and a consultant. She has worked at the site, district, and county levels and spent over 10 years at the California Department of Education coaching low-performing school and district leaders to improve their organizations.
Debby is an author, professional developer, facilitator and Master Certified Coach (MCC) and has been coaching professionally since 1998. She received her coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (iPEC), and in 2006 earned the designation of Master Certified Coach from the International Coaches Federation (ICF).
Deborah co- authored Team Coaching for Teacher Leadership, a coaching-based approach to leadership development, effective collaboration, and improving the way people work together. To date, she has trained over 1200 professional educators in the tenets of this program and has coached superintendents, principals, teachers, and school board members.
Debby is a former board chair for Spiritual Life Center in Sacramento and currently serves on the board of Sol Aureus Charter School in Sacramento.
She recently spent 2 months working at the Uyoba School Library in Mfuwe Zambia representing the Africa Hope Fund.
